Sadly it seems that my theory re: Lou / Mark / me at Backgammon was a) misguided, b) gung ho and c) very wrong!! Just had the pants thrashed off me big style!! Fortunately the victor was gracious in defeat and only gloated once or twice between conciliatory snogs!!
Early in the game, when it became obvious that I had no idea what I was doing, I tried to play the "well after Chelsea losing on Sunday, I wasn't sure you'd cope with another defeat..." line - but my rather pathetic bluff was exposed, giving the victor a wider scope for long term gloating!
Have now decided that tactical games just aren't my forte and so have challenged Mark to a game of Triv - using the English answers from the original 1984 edition! Figure if I can't beat him at that I shall just have to keep beating him at Jenga - or try him at some of the girls games - maybe dominoes or the memory game - on second thoughts - have no memory whatsoever - so probably better joining Becca to play Flying Possums?!?!
