And She Scores.......

Have just come back from Becca's netball, last game of the season. John's weekend with the girls but I was given special licence to see the match as Becca was playing Goal Attack. Have seen her play alternate weeks for the last 5 months, but always in defensive positions! And have been told sooooo many times what a stonker she is at the goal! Anyway, at the commence of play the Chelsea Stars were sitting in joint third position in their league - and they played a blinder!!! 11 - 0 - and Becca, bless her little tiny cotton socks, scored 9 of them! - confess that by the time we got past 7 it was actually starting to get a little predictable / boring (! would never tell her I said that!), so we started shouting from the barbie as we ordered team hotdogs!!! Monday we will find out if the girls managed to take the opposition out of the number 2 spot and whether we will be required at prize giving or not. Watch this space.

Boo, just for the record also played a cracking match on Wednesday - she had her 4 favourite positions and so played GD, WA, GS and GA - scored 3 goals but they still lost 8 - 5. Good little team though and next term they will be playing Summer / Twilight netball, which is only two positions a match, and 'encourages positional play' (?) - and she's still loving it.

Just in the middle of making pears poached in red wine for dinner at Sarah and Matthews this evening and lemon cake to take to work on Monday for my birthday - still think it's a bit rough that I get to do cooking for my birthday!

Anyway, short and sweet today - but amendment to previous blog - think I made reference to being the Tania Turner of Birkenhead Utd - if that transpires I will have traded in Mark for a different model, as he actually plays for Glenfield Rovers - Yellow and Black hoops as opposed to red and white stripes! I stand corrected!
